SWITCHING ON FOR THE FIRST TIME
In order to switch on the device it must have been standing for at least two hours in the correct upright posi-
tion.
Failure to observe this may result in irreparable damage to the compressor.
When this period has lapsed the device can be connected to a 230 volt / 50 Hz, 1~ mains socket. The red "POWER"
control light illuminates. If the "WORKING" control light is switched off, turn the knob that is located on the control
panel clockwise until the light illuminates. The "Pause" light also switches on and the dehumidifier starts to work after
approximately five minutes.
3.1. What should I do if the dehumidifier doesn't switch on or doesn't dehumidify?
First, make sure that the red "POWER" control light is switched on. This indicates that the device is being supplied with
power; otherwise check to see if the mains plug has been inserted correctly and whether the socket itself is actually
being supplied with power.
Make sure that the green "FULL" control light is switched off. If this is not the case, check to make sure that the contai-
ner is seated properly; if required, remove and replace the container until you hear the click of the micro switch. Empty
the container if necessary!
Check whether the red "WORKING" control light is switched on, which means that commissioning is required by the
moisture meter. If the device switches back on after a break (as a result of the desired humidity level being reached or
if the container has been emptied) and the hygrostat has released operation accordingly, the red "DEFROST" light will
illuminate in addition to the central red lights. During this situation, which lasts approximately 5 minutes, only the fan
is operational; the compressor itself is shut down. This cycle is repeated once approximately every 45 minutes in order
to enable defrosting of the evaporator tube. If the device is operational (the two central red lights are illuminated) but
no water is emitted, or there is only a trace of water, check whether the relative humidity level is less than 40 - 45 %.
4. Condensate drain port
The High-Dry dehumidifier can be connected directly to a flexible drain pipe. When doing this remove the canister and
connect the hose. A silicone hose with a 3/4" sleeve should be used for the connection. The hose can be passed out-
wardly through a hole that is located in the base of the device.
A rocker switch, which is labelled with the numbers 0 and I, can be found on the rear of the device. The switch deacti-
vates the micro switch of the float during hose operation (this is normally used to switch off the device when the tank
is removed or when the max. tank fill level is reached).
Set this switch to (I) during hose operation!
WARNING:
Please note that the drain, into which the condensate is to be discharged, should be lower than the out-
let in the dehumidifier. Set the dehumidifier at a higher position if necessary.
Also note that the drain hose should be laid at ground level without any kinks.
Only connect as much hose as is needed.

5. Periodic maintenance

CLEANING THE FILTER

The only periodic maintenance work required is cleaning the filter. Under normal conditions this should be cleaned
about once a month. In dusty environments, however, it may be necessary to clean the filter twice or even several
times during this period. To clean the filter, hold it under running water so that the water runs in the same direction as
the air (from the narrow side to the wide side). The filter should be replaced every six months or so. Please note that
the use of a clean filter can significantly enhance the effectiveness of the dehumidifier.
