Cleaning and Maintenance

Step 1.
Lock outlet lever of gun.
Step 2.
Turn off pump, unscrew nozzle holder with nozzle from gun and relieve material pressure via gun in container.
Step 3.
Soften nozzles and holder in a small container with solvent or water. Set pressure regulator to lowest value.
Step 4.
Hold suction pipe over paint container, turn on pump at the same time and allow to run until the pump has emptied itself
via the return rinsing hose.
Step 5.
When processing dispersion, have a container with warm soapy water ready, and when processing oil-based paints use a
suitable solvent. After processing dispersion, do not use turpentine substitute or the like on account of possible gelification.
Step 6.
Place suction pipe into soapy water or container with solvent, hold return rinsing hose in a second bucket and turn on
device. Allow to circulate for 2-3 minutes, then turn off device.
Step 7.
To prevent significant paint residues forming in the hose, turn off circulation valve, and hold gun contacting the edge of a
metal container and activate the outlet lever. Turn on device again. Lead residual material out of the hose back into the
original container. Attention: avoid spraying paint residue upwards! Rinse until a clean rinsing solution exits from the gun
and return rinsing hose. Opening and closing the circulation valve will rinse the circuits alternately.
Step 8.
Open circulation valve and remove suction pipe from the container with the cleaning solution. Turn on pump and allow to
run until it has pumped itself empty.
Step 9.
If cleaning with water, add some Coro-Check (approx. 200 ml to 4 l water) cleaning fluid (blue). This achieves a slight
lubrication of the internal pump components with anti-corrosion protection.
Step 10.
Remove suction pipe from container and allow pump to run until empty.
Step 11.
Remove filter from pump and gun and clean. Before refitting, check filter to ensure that is is fit for use.
Replace worn out filters. Refit filter into pump and/or gun.
Step 12.
Remove nozzle from water/solvent and clean with a soft brush. Store in the dry for the next use.

2. Hydraulic oil

Change the hydraulic oil after approx. 600 hours of operation. Maintenance of the hydraulic system may be undertaken
only by trained specialists. Used oil is to be returned to the dealer. The dealer is legally obliged to take this back.
Oil brand: Shell, Tellus 46 or the equivalent, also other manufacturers.
3. Decommissioning for a prolonged period
As from an envisaged downtime of the device of six weeks and longer, steps must be taken to preserve the paint level.
Convey a mixture of turpentine substitute and engine oil (1:1) through the circuit and turn the device off. Using a polythene
bag, tightly stop up the suction port of the paint level and the outlet of the return rinsing hose. This will prevent the seals
in the paint level drying out.
