Installation
In choosing the location to set up your camera, please note that direct intense sunlight, vibrations and dust have to be avoided.
The device must not be set up in the vicinity of other devices with strong magnetic fields.
The camera should not be placed in the vicinity of devices with strong electrical fields, such as cell phones, radio sets and electrical
motors, et cetera. They could have a negative influence on the image quality.
Direct sunlight and/or bright illumination, et cetera may have a strong influence on the image and may make watching the pictures more
difficult. Please observe this fact when selecting the mounting place.
The recommended installation height of the camera lens (1) is approx. 1.8 m. The installation height depends on the object to be
monitored. Prior to the final installation, we recommend to connect the camera and to look at the corresponding camera image on the
monitor / TV set to make sure that the area to be monitored is shown. Please proceed as described in the chapter on "Connecting the
device" (next chapter).
Use the boreholes of the mounting base as a drilling jig. Make sure there are no electric wires, water pipes, etc where you will be
drilling.
Screw the mounting base into place.
Screw the thread (2) of the camera down to the mounting base, and use the nut to counter the screw connection.
Connecting the device
For mains supply please use the attached power supply. Never try to operate the camera on any other voltage.
The camera is connected to the monitor / TV set by means of a BNC connector. The camera has been provided with a low voltage
socket for power supply.
Connectors:
BNC-connector (3):
Low voltage socket (4):
Connect the direct voltage source up to the low voltage socket (4). The direct voltage source has to be switched off.
Connector: 5.5 / 2.1 mm.
Connect the video input up to the BNC connector (3). If your monitor / TV set has been equipped with a cinch socket only, use an
adaptor (BNC connector to cinch).
Operation
After connection of the video output and the power supply, the camera is ready for operation.
Switch the direct voltage source on. Switch your TV set or the monitor on and select the input to which the camera is connected (such
as AV input on the TV set).
The picture of the camera will appear on the screen. In the unlikely event that no picture appears on the screen or another malfunction
occurs, immediately switch off the operating voltage and the TV set / monitor, and check once again by using the "Troubleshooting"
check list in these instructions.
The camera has been optimally balanced at the factory. If you want to make an individual adjustment of the definition, please proceed
as follows:
1.
Open the camera body by turning the lens cover.
2.
Then loosen the set screw.
3.
Now you can adjust the definition by turning the lens.
4.
After the setting tighten the locking screw.
Proceed in reverse sequence to close the lens housing. Please make sure that the housing is closed carefully. The lens cover has to be
well tightened to protect the camera against moisture.
