Use

PLEASE NOTE!
❐ Never hold the nozzles close to parts of your body or animals during use and do not
place your hands inside the nozzles. They could become stuck to the device/injured.
If the vacuum cleaner should become stuck, switch the device off immediately.
❐ Switch on the device only when you have checked that all the parts have been
properly attached and that the dust container and the dust fi lter are correctly inserted.
❐ If the device switches itself off during use, it is possible that the overheating protec-
tion has been triggered. Switch off the device and check the nozzle for any block-
ages, remove them and then allow the device to cool down for at least 15 minutes
before you switch it on again. If this does not solve the problem, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
❐ Never use the device without a dust bag inserted or without motor and exhaust air
fi lters.
❐ Do not pull the cable out from the device with force up to its maximum length. It
should not be pulled out further than the red mark. The yellow mark indicates the
optimum cable length.
❐ On no account should the device be used to suck up the following:
– Liquids or wet substances (e. g. wet carpet shampoo)
– Glowing ash, cigarette ends, matches etc.
– Infl ammable or explosive substances
– Very fi ne dust (e. g. concrete dust) or toner
– Pointed, hard objects such as e. g. large pieces of broken glass
1. Assemble the device and choose a suitable nozzle.
2. Extend the cable to the length you require.
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed mains socket that is easily accessible.
4. Press the On/Off switch to turn the device on. The vacuum cleaner can be pulled
along like a sledge during cleaning.
5. Guide the nozzle over the surface to be cleaned.
6. After cleaning, press the On/Off button to switch off the vacuum cleaner.
7. Remove the plug from the mains socket, hold the mains cable fi rmly and press the
button to retract the mains cable. By holding the mains cord, you prevent the cord
from "lashing" against your legs for example.

Adjusting the suction force

You can use the suction force dial to regulate the suc-
tion force to whatever level you want. Slide the dial in
the direction indicated by the arrow to increase the suc-
tion force.
