Wear suitable clothing and protective gear, such as boots,
heavy-duty trousers, gloves, eye-protectors, hearing-
protectors and protective helmet. Wear comfortable but
not loosely fitting clothes.
Prolonged use of the clearing saw can cause the hands to
go numb (fingers turn white = Raynaud's syndrome).
No unauthorised persons must be within a radius of 15
metres when the machine is used.
Always have the clearing saw hooked onto the harness
when working.
Never start the clearing saw if there is a fuel leak.
When the engine is started in the choke position, the
blade will immediately begin to rotate. Warning for
personal injury.
Only work in well-lit areas.
Check that you have a well-balanced posture when
working.
Trees under strain can suddenly whip-up when sawing.
Risk of injury or fatal injury.
Never place the front right part of the blade against a tree-
trunk. Risk of pitching and personal injuries.
The clearing saw must not be used without the guard.
Never allow the blade to touch the ground. Risk of stones
or other objects being thrown out. Risk of personal injury.
The clearing saw must not be used if the operator is ill,
has taken medicines, or is under the influence of
substances which slow down your reactions.
The engine must never be the started in unventilated
areas. The carbon monoxide in the engine's exhaust
fumes is toxic, and can lead to lose of life.
Use tightly fitting clothes and heavy-duty shoes which
completely cover the feet.
Stop the engine when the machine is left unattended.
Stop the engine before filling up the machine with petrol.
Never touch the machine during or just after use. Risk of
burn injuries!

2.4 AFTER OPERATION

The transport guard should always be fitted when the
machine is transported or stored with the blade fitted on
the clearing saw.
Always use protective gloves when filing the blade.
Allow the engine to cool before placing the machine in a
storeroom. Fire risk!
Remove dirt and foreign objects before the machine is
placed in a storeroom. The area around the petrol tank
and the muffler should be kept clean from leaves, oil, and
petrol etc. Fire risk!
If the petrol tank is to be emptied, do this outdoors and
when the engine is cold. Fire risk!
The machine should be stored in a dry place. The
machine should not be stored with fuel in the tank in
premises where there are naked flames, sparks or strong
sources of heat.

2.5 MAINTENANCE
Always remove the spark plug connection before
carrying out maintenance or repairs.
Carry out regular maintenance. All nuts and bolts should
always be tightened.
Always use genuine spare parts in good condition. Spare
parts must not be repaired. They should be replaced if
they are defective. Poor quality spare parts can lead to
personal injury. If the muffler is damaged it should be
replaced.
In the following cases the engine must first be stopped
and then the spark plug lead disconnected:
- When adjusting the tool.
- When cleaning or repairing the machine.
- During inspection after colliding with hard solid
objects.
Carry out the necessary repairs before continuing the work.
If the machine starts to vibrate more than usual, carry out
the necessary repairs before continuing the work.
Wear protective gloves when working with the blade.
The stop control should always be in the stop position
when the engine is turned round with a disconnected
spark plug lead, or when the spark plug has been
removed.
Incorrectly filed blades cause the machine to pitch more
easily.
Blades with incorrectly set teeth cause pitching.
3.1 SB28, SB30
The clearing saw is supplied in a box together with the
following parts:
Trimmer head.
Grass cutting blade.
Transport guard for blade.
Trimmer guard with screws and washers.
Instruction manual.
Tool set. See Fig. 2.

dismantled on delivery.
