1 SYMBOLS, SEE FIG 1
The following symbols are to be found on the clearing saw.
They are to remind you of the care and attention required
when handling the machine. If any of the symbols are
missing, damaged, or illegible, they should be immediately
replaced with new ones.
The symbols mean:
1. Warning! The clearing saw can be dangerous. Incorrect
use can result in fatal injury.
2. Read and make sure you understand the operating
instructions before using the clearing saw.
3. Always wear a protective helmet, hearing-protectors and
eye-protectors when using the clearing saw.
4. Warning for ejected objects and ricocheting.
5. No other persons apart from the operator must be within
15 metres of the clearing saw when it is being used.
6. Choke.
7. Fuel button.
8. Arrow for cutting direction.
9. Must never be used together with saw blade.

2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

2.1 GENERAL
Read through this instruction manual carefully and make
sure you understand the contents before using the
clearing saw.
Always keep this manual handy and read it before using
the machine.
The machine must only be used by adults in good
physical condition, and who know how it should be used.
Never use the machine if you are not in good physical
condition.
Only allow the machine to be used by persons who are
familiar with how it should be used and handled, and
always give them the manual to read before the machine
is started.
Only the requisite accessories and tools must be fitted on
the machine.
First Aid should always be available when working with
the machine.
The machine must not be used for anything other than as
a clearing saw and for trimming grass.
The machine must not be used if it is damaged,
incorrectly repaired, or arbitrarily modified. The safety
devices must not be removed, damaged, or put out of
order.
The transport guard should always be fitted during
transport and storage when a blade is fitted on the
clearing saw.
ENGLISH
Never try to carry out repairs or other procedures which
are not normal maintenance. Contact your dealer for
professional help.
When the machine is to be scrapped, hand it in to your
dealer for professional recycling.
Always contact your dealer if you have any questions, or
for important procedures.
Do not allow children, or persons who have not read the
operating instructions, to handle the clearing saw.
The clearing saw is manufactured according to the
relevant standards and must not be altered or rebuilt.
All the symbols on the clearing saw should be kept intact
The user is responsible for damages incurred by a third
party.
Switch off the engine before transporting the machine.
2.2 PREPARATIONS
Check that the harness lock functions and can be opened
quickly.
Check every day that the machine and its safety devices
function correctly.
WARNING! Petrol is highly inflammable. Note the
following.
Petrol should be stored in the proper containers for this
purpose.
Always fill up outdoors, and after the engine has cooled
for a few minutes.
Do not smoke when filling up with petrol.
There must be no naked flames or other sources of heat in
the vicinity of the petrol.
Do not start the engine if petrol has been spilled.
Always wipe up spilled petrol.
If petrol has been spilled on your clothing, change your
clothes.
Move the machine at least 3 metres from the filling area
before starting it.
Screw on the petrol cap correctly after filling.
Check that the clearing saw is in good condition before
using it.
Check that all nuts and bolts are tightened.
2.3 OPERATING
Only work when you are standing in a stable and safe
position.
Never use the machine if the tool guard is damaged or
missing.
Do not start the engine unless the arm is fitted.
To avoid hitting stones etc., never work too close to the
ground.
