Recording an MD right away!
Connect to a digital source using an optical cable to make digital
recordings. Digital recording is possible even from digital equipment
with different sampling rates, such as a DAT deck or a BS tuner, using
the built-in sampling rates converter (see "Note on digital recording"
(page 59)). To record from an analog source, see "Recording with
analog input (line cable required)" (page 22). It is recommended to
use the supplied AC power adaptor when recording.
