Fully open or fully closed ball valve:
Hand lever 1 abuts travel stop 2.
The open position is infi nitely
variable but intermediate positions
cannot be engaged and locked.
1. Lift the hand lever locking device 3 to
enable turning the hand lever 1.

2. When the desired end position is
reached push down the hand lever
locking device 4 and make it engage in
the locking stop 5 (only possible when
the ball valve is fully open or fully closed).
3. When the ball valve is fully open or fully
closed and the hand lever 1 is engaged,
the position can be secured in the hole 6
in the hand lever 1 above the hand lever
locking device 3.

Check the tightness of the

commissioning!
Use only the appropriate

protective gear when
performing the tightness
check.
Protect against leakage!
Provide precautionary measures

against exceeding the maximum
permitted pressures caused by
pressure surges (water hammer).
Observe pertinent standards prior
to commissioning.
Prior to cleaning or commissioning the
plant:
Check the tightness and the function of
G
the ball valve (close and reopen the ball
valve).
If the plant is new and after repairs rinse
G
the piping system with a fully opened
ball valve (to remove any harmful foreign
matter).
The plant operator is
responsible for selecting
the cleaning material and
performing the procedure.
