Installation and operation

Prior to installation:
Ensure that valve body and seal material

are appropriate and compatible to
handle the working medium.
See chapter 5 "Technical data".

Installing the ball valve

Do not use additional seals or grease

Installation work must only be performed

Use appropriate protective gear as

specified in plant operator's guidelines.

Installation location:

Do not apply external force to the ball
G
valve.
Choose the installation location so
G
that the ball valve cannot be used as a
foothold (climbing aid).
Lay the pipeline so that the ball valve
G
body is protected against transverse
and bending forces, and also
vibrations and tension.
Inside diameter of the piping must
G
correspond to the nominal diameter of
the ball valve.
Only mount the ball valve between
G
matching aligned pipes.
10.2 Information on the
installation location
Flanged body:

Arrange the bolt holes of the
piping and valve in a way that
they - are symmetrical to the two
main axes - are not on the two
main axes.
Inside diameter of the piping must

correspond to the nominal diameter of the
ball valve.
Installation position and direction of the

working medium: optional.
Installation:
1. Ensure the suitability of the ball valve
for each respective use. The ball valve
must be appropriate for the piping
system operating conditions (medium,
medium concentration, temperature and
pressure) and the prevailing ambient
