Drei verschiedene Voreinstellungen sind möglich: „NORMAL", „BRIGHT" oder
„SOFT"
Dadurch ist eine zum normalen TV-Bild unterschiedliche Grundhelligkeit
möglich.
Am Bildschirmhintergrund (mit der Einblendung „DVD VIDEO") können die
Auswirkungen der verschiedenen Einstellungen kontrolliert werden.
Selbstverständlich können Sie zusätzlich die Helligkeit auch wie vom TV-
Modus gewohnt einstellen, siehe Kapitel 14 auf Seite 22.
• „CONTRAST"
Stellen Sie hier den gewünschten Kontrast ein.
Dadurch ist ein zum normalen TV-Bild unterschiedlicher Grundkontrast
möglich.

15. Teletext
Teletext is a text-based information system which many TV channels transmit in the
blanking interval of the television signal. The blanking interval is the range of the tele-
vision signal in which no picture information is transmitted.
Almost all commercial channels have teletext, regional channels on the
hand do not.
In the teletext, you can find, for example, current news in brief form, sport results, the
latest lotto results or even recipes (depending on the channel).
As the pages are transmitted successively and there are numerous teletext pages, it
can take a while until the desired page is transmitted and is displayed on the screen.
The teletext pages are normally transmitted from page 100 on upwards (some TV
channels transmit the teletext pages in descending order); depending on the TV
channel, the number of the teletext pages or the page numbers are variable.
he start page, with the continuing page number, is always page 100. The
current television programme of the channel concerned can usually be
found from page 300.
In addition, you can find, the current date, the day of the week and the time,
down to the second, displayed in the teletext.

When you are in teletext mode, you can also return to TV mode by means of button
"TV" (1).
When switching to teletext mode, it can take some seconds until the index
page of the teletext is displayed (page 100).
If no text display appears on the screen after these few seconds, it could be the case
that the TV channel selected is not transmitting teletext at the present time (or that
the teletext of the TV channel has failed or been switched off briefly)
Even for poorly set or received channels, the teletext does not function cor-
rectly although the TV channel concerned has teletext.
In this case you can improve the quality by means of the fine tuning, see
section 14 b) on page 78.
