b) Mixing TV picture and teletext page, button "
This feature is only avaialble in teletext mode (teletext display on the scre-
en).
By means of the button " " (46), the current TV picture can be mixed with the tele-
text in the background.
That means that instead of the background colour of the current teletext
page (e.g. black), the curent TV picture becomes visible.
This feature is used in superimposing sub-titles onto the current TV picture. For
some programmes (e.g. many feature films of the channels regulated by public law,
(e.g. "ARD" or "ZDF"), the conversation of the actors is superimposed as text (e.g.
for the hard of hearing).
Of course you can also use the feature som that you can continue to follow a current
programme when reading the teletext .
Activate the teletext by means of the button "
Select the sub-title page of the teletext (for the channel "ARD" the teletext
page 150)
Superimpose the TV picture as background using the button "
To switch off this feature, press the button "
Press the button " " (47) to return to normal TV mode,.
Alternatively, you can return from the mixed mode to normal TV mode by
operating the button " " (47) twice.
c) Select teletext page
A teletext page only has a three-digit number, e.g. "300".
Enter the desired teletext page using the numeric buttons 0-9 of the remote control.
To switch to the next teletext page, press the button "CHANNEL "; to switch to the
previous teletext page, press the button "CHANNEL
For all TV channels, page 100 in the teletext is the starting point for all other pages.
From page 300, you will usually find the TV programme of the channel concerned.

• „TV TYPE"
Das Videobild der DVD kann auf drei verschiedene Arten wiedergegeben werden:
1. „4:3 PS"
„PS" ist die Abkürzung für „Pan & Scan". Das Bild wird größer dargestellt,
dadurch wird bei der Wiedergabe von 16:9-DVDs vom Bild links und rechts
ein Stück abgeschnitten.
2. „4:3 LB"
„LB" ist die Abkürzung für „Letterbox". Dies ist normale Einstellung für alle
DVDs. 16:9-DVDs werden mit maximaler Breite am Gerät dargestellt, oben und
unten gibt es den unvermeidbaren schwarzen Balken.
3. „16:9"
Dies ist der 16:9-Modus, ideal für einen 16:9-Fernseher, z.B. wenn der S-
Videoausgang des TV-DVD-Kombigeräts an einen 16:9-Fernseher angeschlos-
sen ist; das Bild auf dem TV-DVD-Kombigerät wird verzerrt dargestellt!
• „SCRN SAVER"
Wenn die DVD gestoppt ist oder das Bild für längere Zeit steht (Standbild/Pause),
so kann ein Bildschirmschoner Beschädigungen an der Bildröhre oder extern
angeschlossenen Bildschirmen verhindern (ideal z.B. für LCDs oder Plasmabild-
schirme).
Der Bildschirmschoner kann eingeschaltet („ON") oder ausgeschaltet („OFF") wer-
den.
• „TV SYSTEM"
In diesem Menüpunkt kann zwischen dem TV-System „PAL" und „NTSC" umge-
schaltet werden. Auch die Auswahl von „AUTO" ist möglich.
Normalerweise sollten Sie „PAL" auswählen, da in der TV-/DVD-Kombi ein
PAL-kompatibler Fernseher zum Einsatz kommt. Für extern angeschlosse-
ne Geräte könnte jedoch auch eine andere Einstellung gewählt werden.
