21. Handling
Observe all safety instruction in these operating instructions!
The product is only to be operated in dry rooms. Contact with
dampness is to be avoided at all times! Do not touch the apparatus
and the mains cable/plug with damp or wet hands! There is risk of a
fatal electric shock!
Avoid the following adverse environment conditions at the place of set-
up or in transport:
• wet or high humidity
• extreme cold or heat
• direct sunshine
• dust or inflammable gases, vaours or solvents
• strong vibrations
• strong magnet fields such as clos to machines or loudspeakers
Make sure that there is sufficient ventilation of the apparatus at the place
of set-up. A minimum distance of 10cm to all sides should be main-
tained. The apparatus is to be set–up/positioned in such a manner that
air circulation can take place. Never cover up the airholes and never cov-
er the apparatus during operation.
Do not place the apparatus on or alongside easily inflammable surfaces
(e.g. table cloths or curtains); do not place the apparatus alongside the
radiator.
Do not poke any objects, e.g. paper clips, ballpoint pens, pins or
knitting needles etc, into the air slots or openings of the apparatus.
Children can attempt to poke objects (e.g. toys) into the air slots,
openings of the apparatus or the CD tray.
This can damage the product. Apart from this there is danger to life
through electric shock if electric cables or connection points are
touched!
When the product is taken from a cold room to a warm room (e.g. for
transport by car), condense water can arise.
