5. Safety instructions

The warranty claim will lapse for damage which is caused through
non-observance of these operating instructions. We accept no lia-
bility for follow-up damage!
We accept no liability for material damage or personal injury which
is caused through incorrect handling or the non-observance of the
safety instructions. In such cases the warranty claim shall lapse!
Dear Customer: the following safety and danger instruction serve not only the
protection of your health but also the protection of the apparatus. Pleas read
the following points through carefully:
For safery and licensing reasons (CE) you are not permitted to convert
and/or later the product yourself.
The TV/DVD combination set "P1420" belongs to protection class 2.
Only a correct mains socket (230V~/50Hz) as part of the public supply
network may be used as the source of power.
The product is only licensed for operation in dry, closed rooms.
Make sure that there is sufficient ventilation at the place of set-up.
Around the outside of the housing there must be a distance of at least 10
cm to wall units etc. Never operate the apparatus on or in the proximity
of easily inflammable objects (e.g. table clothes, curtains).
Never touch the apparatus, mains cable or plug with damp or wet hands.
Otherwise there is the danger of a fatal electric shock!
Never pull the cable out of the mains socket by the cable; always pull it
out of the socket by the grip provided.
If the mains cable shows any sign of damage, do not touch the cable.
First of all switch off the appropriate mains socket (e.g. through the cor-
responding automatic fuses) and then pull the plug carefully out of the
socket.
A damaged cable must always be replaced by a specialist/specialised
workshop with a new one with the same technical specifications. Repair
of the damaged mains cable is not permitted!
Never leave the apparatus running without supervision.
Never leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. Plastic foil or
bags, styropore parts etc. could become a dangerous toy for children.

• DVDs mit JPGs oder MP3s lassen sich nicht abspielen.
Verwenden Sie für JPG- und MP3-Dateien nur „nor-
male" CDRs.
• DivX-Filme, XVCDs usw. lassen sich nicht abspielen.
