16. Switch between TV, AV and
CD/DVD mode
The various types of operation can be selected by means of the following buttons:
• Button "TV/AV" (28) switching between TV mode and AV input
• Button "DVD" (25) switching from TV mode or AV input to CD/DVD mode
• Button "TV" (1) switching from CD/DVD mode or AV input to TV mode
In AV mode, the picture and tone signals are reproduced which is pending
at the front AV inout or at the scart input.
17. CD/DVD operation
Switch by means of the button "DVD" (25) to CD/DVD mode, see also section 16.
In this mode the following CD types can be played:
• DVDs (traditional bought-DVDs and alef-burned DVDs)
• VCDs, SVCDs
• MP3-CDs
• Audio CDs
• Image CDs with JPG image files
a) General information
• There are numerous programmes which creat the VCDs, SVCDs or DVDs which
more or less correspond to the standard. Therefore it cannot be guaranteed that
each VCD, SVCD or self-made DVD can be played faultlessly on the TV/DVD com-
bination set.
• Both the blank used and the CD/DVD burner and the burner software influence
correct functioning in the TV/DVD combination set.
• MP3-CDs or image CDs may only be CD-Rs, not DVDs. The TV/DVD combination
set always expects a "video DVD" when a DVD is inserted.
• Although also large-format JPG image files can be displayed wiith image CDs,
(e.g. a picture from a 4-megapixel digital camera), problems can occur in the pre-
sentation. This is, amongst other things, dependent on the compression rate of the
JPG image files and the manner in which they have ben created (JPG is not always JPG).

16. Umschalten zwischen TV-, AV- und
CD-/DVD-Modus
Mit folgenden Tasten kann man die unterschiedlichen Betriebsarten auswählen:
• Taste „TV/AV" (28) Umschalten zwischen TV-Modus und AV-Eingang
• Taste „DVD" (25) Umschalten vom TV-Modus oder AV-Eingang auf den CD-
/DVD-Modus
• Taste „TV" (1) Umschalten vom CD-/DVD-Modus oder AV-Eingang auf
den TV-Modus
Im AV-Modus wird das Bild- und Tonsignal wiedergegeben, das am Front-
AV-Eingang bzw. am Scart-Eingang anliegt.
17. CD-/DVD-Betrieb
Schalten Sie mit der Taste „DVD" (25) in den CD-/DVD-Modus um, siehe auch Kapi-
tel 16.
In diesem Modus können folgende CD-Arten abgespielt werden:
• DVDs (herkömmliche Kauf-DVDs und selbstgebrannte DVDs)
• VCDs, SVCDs
• MP3-CDs
• Audio-CDs
• Bilder-CDs mit JPG-Bilddateien

• Es gibt zahlreiche Programme, die VCDs, SVCDs oder DVDs erzeugen, die mehr
oder weniger der Norm entsprechen. Deshalb kann leider nicht garantiert werden,
dass jede VCD, SVCD oder selbstgemachte DVD in der TV-/DVD-Kombi einwand-
frei abgespielt werden kann.
• Sowohl der verwendete Rohling als auch der CD-/DVD-Brenner und die Brenn-
software haben Einfluss auf die korrekte Funktion in der TV-/DVD-Kombi.
• MP3-CDs oder Bilder-CDs dürfen nur CD-Rs sein, keine DVD. Bei einer eingeleg-
ten DVD erwartet die TV-/DVD-Kombi immer eine „Video-DVD".
• Obwohl auch großformatige JPG-Bilddateien bei Bilder-CDs dargestellt werden
können (z.B. Bilder einer 4-Megapixel-Digitalkamera), kann es bei der Darstellung
zu Problemen kommen. Dies ist u.a. abhängig von der Kompressionsrate der JPG-
Bilddateien und der Art, wie sie erzeugt werden (JPG ist nicht gleich JPG).
