Commissioning

There is a small slide switch on the back of the display. This can be used to switch off the beep signal or
adjust the beep signal volume as required (OFF = mute, LOW = normal volume, HI = loud)
Once the parking system is correctly installed and the display is connected, the system will turn on auto-
matically when reverse is engaged. A short acknowledging beep sounds as an activation check when the
signal is switched on and the display will come on.
Test the system prior to initial use to familiarise yourself with the displays and signals.
Ask a second person to simulate the "obstacle" behind your car.
To do so, switch on the ignition (on-board voltage supply) and then put the car into reverse.
Ask the second person to slowly advance towards the car from approx. 2 m away.
The distance can be read off directly in metres (3). At the same time, the direction of the obstacle will be
displayed with the small car icon.
The distance to an obstacle is signalled by a sound and speech signal. The following warning ranges must
be observed.
