9. Initial Commissioning and Operation

Once all components are connected and the connection was inspected again, take the system
into operation.
Do not forget to connect the battery minus pole again.
• Switch on the ignition.
• Switch on the screen by pushing the on-off button (13).
• Engage the reverse gear.
• The reversing camera video image appears on the screen (12).
• In the dark, the IR-LEDs (2) are switched on automatically and the area behind the vehicle is
lit.
• If the image section is not yet as desired, you or a helper may align the camera lens (13). It is
attached on a swivelling bearing in the license plate frame.
• If the camera image is upside-down or does not match what you see in the rear-view mirror,
operate the button image alignment (14). Every push of a button turns the image or mirrors it.
• Push the brightness button (16) to set image brightness as desired in various steps.
• Push the contrast button (17) to set image contrast as desired in various steps.
• Taking out the reverse gear again will deactivate the screen.
• Use the button CH (15) to set the receiver channel. The set receiver channel is displayed via
the channel display (8). Channel 1 must be set to receive the license plate camera image.
• An external video source (e.g. DVD player) may be connected to the connection VIDEO IN (9).
Connect the included video cable to the connection Video IN (9) and the yellow video cinch plug
to the video source video output.

Once the video cable is plugged into connection VIDEO IN (9), the screen switches to
the video source. The license plate camera image is no longer displayed. To use the
reversing camera, the video cable must be disconnected.
Observe your own safety and that of other traffic participants. Never use the
screen as a video monitor while driving.
