Switch positive connection (reverse driving lights)
While the reverse gear is engaged and the ignition is on, determine the right lead. The lights and the
blinkers should be off. If you were able to determine the right cable, turn the ignition off again.
• Connect the red positive lead of the PWR connection (5) to the positive contact of the reverse driving
light.
• The black negative line of the PWR connection cable (5) must be connected to the ground (car body).
• Connect the small white plug of the power supply cable (5) with the socket "PWR" of the control
unit (1).
Final check and adjusting the camera
Check the wiring once again. Put the vehicle electronics into use again. The monitor comes on at initial
operation and shows "NO SIGNAL". Switch it off with the red button on the remote control (observe
chapter "inserting and changing the remote control battery").
While the ignition is on, engage the reverse gear. The reverse driving system turns on automatically after
a short time and is now ready for use. The camera image appears on the monitor. If an obstacle is recog-
nised, distance and direction are also displayed.
Turn the camera at the rear of the car into the correct horizontal position. Fasten the camera with the
attachment rings supplied. With slanted surfaces, the metal distancer rings on the camera can be offset
towards each other to compensate the unevenness.
Tighten the thumb screw at the camera.
Start-Up
The reverse driving system consists of two independent systems. The rear-view mirror with integrated
monitor (with video input) and the ultrasound reverse drive system.
The colour monitor in the mirror can be adjusted to the operator's requirements. These settings are
made via the enclosed remote control.
Reverse drive system
The system turns on automatically when the gear is put into reverse. After a short time, the camera
image is displayed. If an obstacle is recognised, distance and direction are also displayed.
