Installing lines and components
Lead the ultrasonic sensor connection cables from the outside through the
bumper to the boot opening. Carefully place the cables inside so that no mois-
ture penetrates the inside of the car.
Attach the control unit using the enclosed adhesive pad. A suitable place is the
side wall in the watertight boot close to a taillight. Make sure that the sensor con-
nection lines reach as far as the control unit.
Install the connection cables of the sensors in accordance with the connection dia-
gram in "Individual parts".
When installing the cables in the sides of the car etc., make sure that you do not dam-
age any safety equipment (e.g. side airbags)
Installing the display
The key component of the parking system is the display with integrated signal and speech output.
The display requires its own voltage supply for radio transmission. Make sure that there is a free cigarette
lighter socket close to the installation site.
The display is attached using the installed adhesive pad. For this purpose, pull the protective paper off
the pad. The read-off angle can be optimised using the adjustable arm at the rear.
When selecting the installation area, make sure that the display is not in the driver's direct
line of sight or in areas with safety implications (airbags, etc.).
The surface to which it is attached must be absolutely clean and grease-free. Do not
attach the pad below 5 °C, otherwise the pad will not stick properly.
