Product and function description

The sound level meter 320 measures the sound level which is detected by the built-
in microphone, the level is shown via a digital display.
It offers the following equipment features:
• Capacitor microphone
• 4-digit LCD with a resolution of 0.1 dB
• 2 frequency valuation methods (display in dB(A) or dB(C))
• 2 time valuation methods (fast/slow)
• 3 overlapping measuring ranges which indicate, if the range is exceeded or not
reached
• 2 outputs (AC and DC) for the connection of external devices for further measured
data evaluation
• Socket for external voltage supply via mains plug (not part of the scope of delivery)
• Minimum-Maximum memory
• Alarm for discharged battery
• Carrying and storage suitcase

Commissioning

To ensure the appropriate commissioning of the product, the ope-
rating manual and the safety instructions must be read complete-
ly and carefully!

Inserting the battery

Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Batteries are to be considered as special waste and therefore do
not belong in the garbage bin! Make sure that you are inserting the
batteries in the right way (polarity). Remove the batteries if you do
not use the device for a long period of time. Do not leave batteries
lying around; children or pets might swallow them! In case of bat-
teries being swallowed, seek immediate medical care! Do not
short-circuit batteries and do not throw them into fire. Do not
charge them. Explosion hazard. Leaking or damaged batteries
might cause causticization when in contact with skin; therefore
use suitable protective gloves.
