b) Persons and product

• In schools, educational facilities, hobby and DIY workshops, measuring devices
must be operated under the responsible supervision of qualified personnel.
• Do not switch the measurement device on immediately after it has been brought
from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation generated may destroy the
product. Leave the device switched off and allow it to reach room temperature.
• The measuring device may not be operated in explosive areas or on live and hot
surfaces (>70°C).
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or high humi-
dity. Correct operation of the display is only guaranteed in the temperature range
0°C to +40°C.
• Do not use the product in environments where there are high levels of dust, flam-
mable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fire and explosion!

c) Batteries

• Correct polarity must be observed when inserting the batteries.
• To prevent battery leakage, remove the batteries when you do not plan to use
the product for an extended period. Leaking or damaged batteries may cause
acid burns if they come into contact with your skin. Always use suitable protective
gloves when handling damaged batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying
around, as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
• All batteries must be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries can
cause the batteries to leak and damage the product.
• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into open flames. Ne-
ver recharge non-rechargeable batteries. This may cause an explosion!
