The programming card offers the following setting options:
1. „Cut-off Voltage" (deactivation voltage)
To avoid deep discharge of the LiPo driving battery, the speed controller must switch off the motor starting at a specific
battery voltage.
In the basic position „Auto LiPo", the speed controller measures the battery voltage after activation and indicates the
cell number by sound signals (4 sound signals = 4 cells). The motor is automatically deactivated depending on the set
cell voltage (see the following item 2).
The setting „None" must only be used with NiMH rechargeable batteries. Due to the high power consumption and the
low cost savings, however, we recommend only using LiPo driving batteries for the vehicle. The setting „None" must
not be used for this!
The fixed settings „5 V", „6 V" and „9 V" must not be used for the vehicle.
The setting „12 V" is possible. The motor is deactivated here at a cell voltage of 3.0 V (12 V / 4 = 3 V). This setting
should, however, only be used if you do not connect any fully charged LiPo driving batteries to the speed controller. In
this case, the speed controller may only recognise a 3-cell driving battery, which will cause deep discharge in driving
operation.
2. „Auto-LiPo Cut off Volts/cell" (voltage per cell at automatic deactivation)
As already explained in item 1 above, the speed controller has to switch off the motor as of a specific cell voltage to
protect the LiPo driving battery from a deep discharge. In the basic position „Auto LiPo" (see above under item 1),
the speed controller measures the battery voltage after activation and indicates the cell number by sound signals
(4 sound signals = 4 cells).
You may choose a deactivation voltage per cell that is between „3.0 V"..... „3.5 V".
A LiPo cell has a rated voltage of 3.7 V; fully charged, it has a voltage of up to 4.2 to 4.24 V. Under a voltage
of 3.0 V, there is the danger of deep discharge, so that the programming card does not permit any lower
voltage.
3. „Drag Brake" (motor brake)
If the throttle at the transmitter is moved to the neutral position from forwards driving, the motor brake is activated. The
function corresponds to the motor braking function in a „real" car when you take your foot off the throttle pedal.
The motor brake can be set to several levels (0% = deactivated, 100% = maximum value).
4. „Brake Strength"
The set value specifies how high the brake effect is (move the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter away from the
handle without a pause towards reverse driving, see chapter 9. h). For slippery underground, a lower value should be
set so that the vehicle does not break out when braking.
The brake force can be set to several levels (0% = deactivated, 100% = maximum value).
5. „Punch Control" (Start-up Dynamics)
This setting adjusts start-up dynamics that specify how quickly the vehicle accelerates when starting up. The higher
the setting, the ,motor strain will there be on the motor and gear and the higher the current when starting up the
vehicle. If the underground has a good grip, a setting that is too high may cause the vehicle to somersault backwards
due to the torque being too high.
The start-up dynamics may be set to several levels (0% = deactivated, 100% = maximum value).
