Minimise the volume using the corresponding channel fader before toggling an input selection switch.
Due to possible volume differences between the input sources, the volume may be suddenly over-ampli-
fied otherwise.
(30) GAIN controller
The GAIN controller sets the channel's input sensitivity. The differently high signals of the two channels
can thus be pre-amplified and adjusted to each other.
(31/32/33) Treble/midtone/bass controllers (HIGH/MID/LOW)
These sound controllers change the treble/midtone range/bass of the respective channel. Depending on
controller position, the volume is lowered or raised by up to 12dB.
(34) CUE LEVEL controller (headphones)
Use the CUE LEVEL controller to set the volume at the headphones.
Turn the control CUE LEVEL to the "MIN" position before plugging in, unplugging or putting on the head-
phones or before switching the device on or off. There is a danger of damage to your hearing from exces-
sive volume at the headphones output.
(35) DJ MIC controller
This controller adjusts the volume of the connected microphone. The DJ controller should always be re-
turned to the "MIN" position when the input is not used.
(36) Channel fader
Use the channel fader for adjusting the level of the respective channel.
(37) Crossfader
Controller to transfer between channel CH1 and channel CH2 One channel is faded out when the slider is
operated (volume decreases), while the other is faded in at the same time (volume increases). When the
crossfader is in centre position, both channels are played equally.
(38) FADER START button
Push the button to activate or deactivate the function FADER START. If the FADER START button lights up,
playback of the track of channel CH1 and channel CH2 can be started via the crossfader (37).
(39) Level indicator
The level indicator indicates the level of the output signal. During playback, the "0dB" LED should not light
up or do so only briefly, since there may otherwise be distortion of the music signal. Set the MASTER LEVEL
controller (40), the channel faders (36), the GAIN controllers (30) and the DJ MIC controller (35) accordingly.
(40) MASTER LEVEL controller
This dial is used to set the level at the OUTPUT exits (AMP/REC) (42).
