Modes of operation

Operation using the built-in controller

The following table shows the modes of operation. The DIP switches at the back of the device allow you to set the
mode of operation.
A control at the back of the device allows you to set the sensitivity of the music control.

Master-slave mode

• On the slave devices, set DIP switch 1 to ON to define them as slave devices.
• Connect DMX OUT on the master device to DMX IN on the slave device. Then connect DMX OUT of the first slave
device to DMX IN on the second slave device. Proceed in the same way with additional slave devices.
• On the master device, set DIP switches 10 to 12 so select the desired program (see table above).

DMX mode

• Set the DMX start address with DIP switches 1 to 9.
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called start address to be clearly identified by the
controller. This start address is defined by the DIP switches on the device. Each DIP switch has a value.
The total of these values then defines the start address. The start address denotes the first DMX
channel; the second DMX channel is denoted by the number following the start address.
