Operating Instructions

Intended Use
The LED-Deco Colour Pin is intended to be used for creating LED light effects for private use on
dance floors, in basement party rooms, etc.
It is only approved the connection to the 230V/50Hz alternating current supply. Do not use any
other power supply.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, under any
circumstances.
Any other use than that described above, could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.
Explanation of the Symbols
This symbol on the device indicates that the user should read these operating
instructions prior to using the product.
The lightening symbol in a triangle is used to alert you to potential risks for
personal injury, such as electric shock. The device contains no parts that
should be serviced by the user. Therefore, do not open the device.
This symbol indicates the minimum distance to the illuminated surface.

This symbol alerts the user that the device may only be used indoors.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty will
be void in such cases.
The exclamation mark symbol indicates important information in these
operating instructions. Please read all the instructions before using the device
for the first time, they contain important information on its correct operation.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the pro-
duct are not permitted.
• The product is designed to safety class II and it must only be used with a socket connected to
the public electric grid.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• If the power cable is damaged, do not touch it. First of all cut off the power supply to the
relevant mains socket (e.g. via the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug carefully out
of the mains socket. If the device does not work, take it to a specialist workshop! Never use
the product if the power cable is damaged.
• Never leave the effect lamp without supervision, when it is in use.
• Check the device occasionally for damage.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Never place vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vases or
plants, on the device or in the direct vicinity of the system. Liquids may seep into the casing
and thus impair the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of fire
or a lethal electric shock! If this is the case, de-energise the appropriate socket (e.g. switch off
circuit breaker) before removing the plug-in mains unit from the socket. Afterwards, the pro-
duct can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place open flames, such as burning candles, on or close to the device.
• The device is only for use in a temperate climate, do not use it in a tropical climate.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential
dangers involved when using electrical devices.

• Do not leave packing materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for children.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are

another specialist.

Installation

When selecting the location for installing your device, take care that is will not
be subjected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold or moisture. Furthermore,
keep the product away from strong transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
The light effect may only be operated in locations where the ambient tem-
perature is less than 45°C.
Illuminated objects must be at least 0.1 m away from the device's light outlet.
Easily-flammable materials, such as decorative fabrics, must have at least 0.5
m to the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fire!
When installing the product make sure that the power cord is not pinched or
damaged by sharp edges.
The installation surface or mounting fixture must be designed so it can with-
stand 10 times the load for at least 1 hour without permanent damaging
deformation.
• The power supply must not be placed under stress. You must take the weight off of it by using
one of the following suspension methods given as examples.
• Hang the light effect along with its power cord in such a way that you form a loop and place
this, for example, around an eye bolt.
• Alternatively, the light effect can also be secured with cable clips or similar.
• Only use mounting materials that are compatible with the fastening surface and capable of
bearing the weight of the light effect.
Mains Connection
The mains socket, to which the light effect is connected, must be easily
accessible so the device can be quickly separated from the mains voltage in
the case of a fault.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains
voltage can give severe electric shocks, which can be fatal.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; rather, route them in an orderly and pro-
fessional manner to prevent accidents.
• Plug the power plug of the power supply cable into a wall socket.

Operation

• The device starts to operate as soon as it is connected to the power supply.
• The device features a changing colour effect. No manual operation is necessary.
Handling
• Never operate the device with damaged housing or missing covers.
• The device is not suitable for continuous use. Pauses in operation increase the working life of
the product.
• Never plug the device into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a
cold into a warm environment. The condensation that forms might damage your unit. Allow the
device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation has
evaporated.
• Never remove mains plugs from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Always pull out the
mains plug by gripping it on the surfaces provided for the purpose.
• Always disconnect the power unit from the mains socket, if the device is not going to be used
for a while.
• For safety reasons, always remove the mains plug from the mains socket during thunders-
torms.
• To ensure sufficient ventilation, do not cover the device. In addition, the air circulation must not
be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths or curtains.
