Charging the battery
By no means charge the watch under illuminants with high heat emission properties. This
could damage the watch.
The battery can be charged either by sunlight or by artificial light.
-
Sunlight:
Place the watch with the face upward on a window sill or another location with sunlight.
-
Artificial light:
Place the watch with the face upward under a fluorescent lamp, since they are most
similar to natural sunlight. Due to the low heat emission of fluorescent lamps, the watch is not damaged
as long as you maintain a safety distance of approx. 5 cm. In the case of other lamps with higher heat
emission, the distance should be at least 20 cm.
We recommend charging the battery once a week. Ideally the battery has to be recharged every five months.
As soon as the battery is sufficiently charged, the time is automatically set again.
7.
Resetting the watch
Make sure that the battery is at least half-way charged before resetting the watch.
Otherwise charge the battery beforehand.
1.
Hold button 2 down for approx. 3 seconds in the normal time mode until a 3-digit city code appears on the
display.
2.
Press button 2 four times. "RST" (Reset) flashes on the display.
3.
Now hold button 1 down until the second hand begins moving in fast mode and "SET TO 12" appears on
the display.
If necessary, interrupt fast mode by pressing button 1. To continue with fast mode, hold button 1
down for approx. 3 seconds.
4.
Interrupt the second hand's fast mode when the watch is at 11:59. For this, press button 1 at the right
moment.
5.
Press button 1 once each time to advance the second hand by one second. Now bring all hands to the
12:00 o'clock position. In case you have advanced the second hand too far by mistake, repeat the entire
process.
6.
When all hands are at the 12:00 o'clock position, press button 2 for confirmation.
7.
The "LON" (London) city code appears on the display.
8.
Press button 1 again in order to select the desired city code or time zone.
9.
Press button 2 to confirm the selection.
10.
Reception of the signal now takes place automatically. Place the watch near a window.
11.
As soon as the signal is received the watch is automatically set. If there is no reception, the watch remains
at 12:00 o'clock.
12.
If no reception takes place, again place the watch near a window. For the next 24 hours, the watch
searches for a radio signal at the beginning of every full hour. As soon as a signal is received the watch
is automatically set.
8.
Shortening the metal wristband
The metal wristband can be adjusted to the size of your wrist. But a special tool is required for this. We thus
recommend having the wristband shortened by a watchmaker or a jeweller.
9.
Changing the rechargeable battery
The watch is powered by a type ML2016 rechargeable battery. The service life of the battery is limited, so the
battery has to be replaced after a few years. To prevent damage, we recommend having the battery replaced
by a watchmaker or a jeweller.
After changing the battery, it takes approx. 10 minutes until the clock shows the correct time
again.
10.
Maintenance and care
This device is maintenance-free. Clean the watch only with a soft, dry cloth or with a brush. Never use
aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as the surfaces of the housing and the wristband could
be damaged.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Analogue and digital time displays are not synchronised.
Cause:
External influences such as jolts or impacts can lead to the hands not moving correctly. As a
consequence, the hands show the wrong time, although the digital display continues to indicate
the correct time.
Solution: Reset the watch (see section "Resetting the watch").
Problem: The watch does not receive a radio signal.
Cause:
The watch is outside the range of a signal.
You are in a parking garage, for example.
Metal objects, TV sets or computers interfere with reception of the signal.
Solution: There is optimal reception near windows. Try reception at different windows, since reception can
depend in part on the direction.
If possible, search for a radio signal at night, since the signal is easier to receive at night than
during the day.
Problem: The watch has stopped or the second hand only moves every other second, skipping a second
each time.
Cause:
The battery is (almost) discharged.
Solution: Charge the battery (see section "Charging the battery").
Problem: Wrong hour display despite correct minute display.
Cause:
The time zone is set incorrectly.
Solution: Set the time zone correctly (see section "Setting the time zone").
Problem: Second, minute or hour hands do not move correctly.
Solution: Reset the watch (see section "Resetting the watch").
