Returning the watch to factory settings
• Wait until the seconds hand is at 12:00 hrs.
• Immediately, but carefully pull the crown "S2" until you hear a quiet "click".
• Set all hands to 12:00 hrs by turning the crown "S2".
• Now press and hold the "S3" button for fi fteen seconds.
• Push the crown "S2" until you hear a quiet click.
• Place the watch near a window so that a radio signal can be received.
As soon as a radio signal has been received, turn the hands to the correct time. Even
if a radio signal is still not received after approx. 20 minutes, the watch will continue
to run normally.
Once the radio signal has been received, you can set the time zone (see "Time zones" section).
Resetting the hands
The clock uses the seconds hand to display various functions and settings. Over time, the
positional accuracy of the seconds hand can move.
Check the accuracy of the seconds hand position:
• Press the "S1" button briefl y.
• Check whether the seconds hand stops at 06:00 or 12:00 hrs (+/- half a second tolerance).
If the seconds hand does not stop at 06:00 or 12:00 hrs, reset the hands:
• Wait until the seconds hand is at 12:00 hrs.
• Immediately, but carefully pull the crown "S2" until you hear a quiet "click".
• Set all hands to 12:00 hrs by turning the crown "S2".
• Now press and hold the "S1" button for fi ve seconds.
• Push the crown "S2" until you hear a quiet click.
The watch hands will rotate quickly again until the actual time is reached.
Time zones
Checking the set time zone
• Press and hold the "S3" button for approx. three seconds. The seconds hand rotates to 12:00
hrs and remains there for approx. two seconds before continuing to rotate more quickly. It
then rotates to the position that corresponds to the time zone currently set. The respective
assignment is shown in the time zone table below.
If the seconds hand does not stop at exactly 12:00 hrs while the "S3" button is
pressed, the hands are set incorrectly. Reset the hands (see the "Reset hands" sec-
tion)

time zones are defi ned based on this longitude.
Changing time zone
If you travel to a different time zone, you must set this zone on your watch so that the radio
signal for this region can be received and the correct time is shown (see "Receiving the radio
signal" section).
• Press and hold the "S3" button for approx. three seconds. The seconds hand rotates to 12:00
hrs and remains there for approx. two seconds. It then rotates to the position that corresponds
to the time zone currently set. The respective assignment is shown in the time zone table
below.
• Briefl y press the "S1" key until the seconds hand is at the position that corresponds to the
value in the time zones table.
• Press the "S3" button to save this setting.
Once the time zone has been changed, the seconds hand turns to 03:00 hrs or 09:00
hrs and stops there. All hands then rotate quickly to the current time in the new time
zone. It can then take up to 40 minutes until the watch starts to run normally again.

Replacing the batteries
The battery may only be replaced by an expert (watchmaker). Watchmakers have
the knowledge and tool required to replace a battery.
After the battery has been changed, you must return the watch to its factory settings.
Maintenance and care
Clean the product with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Do not use aggressive detergents or chemi-
cals as these can damage the housing (discolouration). More stubborn dirt on the watch can
be removed using a cloth moistened with lukewarm water. Clean the watch very carefully, you
may otherwise scratch it. Do not press down too hard on the glass front, otherwise it may break.
Disposal
General Information
Never dispose of devices bearing the symbol opposite in the household waste.
You are obliged to dispose of these used electrical and electronic devices sepa-
rately.
Ask your local authority about the facilities for controlled disposal. Separate dis-
posal passes used devices for recycling or other forms of reuse. This helps pre-
vent harmful substances from infi ltrating the environment.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries.
Disposal in the domestic waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked
with the icons opposite to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbid-
den. The icons for the respective heavy metal are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury,
Pb=lead (the designation is stamped on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g.
under the rubbish can symbols depicted at the left).
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the offi cial
collection points of your community, in our stores, or wherever batteries/recharge-
able batteries are sold!
In doing so, you fulfi l your statutory obligations and help protect the environment.

Troubleshooting

The watch doesn't receive a radio signal
This can be caused by the following reasons:
• You are not within the range of the radio signal you require.
• You are inside a building with poor reception.
• Metallic objects can disturb the radio signal.
Electrical devices in the close vicinity can disturb the radio signal.
The minutes hand is correct, the seconds hand is not correct
The watch is set to an incorrect time zone.
Set it to the correct time zone (see the "Setting time zones" section).
The minutes and seconds hands are not correct
If the minutes and seconds hands display the wrong time, you must reset the watch (see "Re-
turning the watch to factory settings" section).
