Information on the multi-band radio signals
The watch can receive four different radio signals: DCF, MSF, WWVB and JJY (60 kHz).
Through reception of one of theses signals, the time and the date are automatically set. Within the respective
transmission range, the time does not need to be manually set, e.g., in the case of the changeover from
summer to winter time.
Reception of the respective radio signal depends on location and position as well as interfering signals that
may come, e.g., from computers, television sets or microwave ovens. The radio signal is also weakened
inside reinforced concrete rooms or spaces.
The range of the radio signals depends on the respective time of day and season and may vary
accordingly.

Operation

Due to storage and transport, the battery may be discharged in certain circumstances.
You can tell whether this is the case if all hands point to 12:00 o'clock or if the second
hand moves only every two seconds, skipping a second each time on the watch face. In
this case, charge the battery before operating the watch. Note the section "Charging the
battery" for this.

Searching for radio signal
1.
Hold button 1 down for approx. three seconds until the antenna symbol flashes on the display.
2.
If possible, place the watch near a window for the best reception. When doing so, the watch face must either
be facing upward or downward. Do not place the watch on its side.
3.
The signal strength is indicated on the display during the search. This helps in the search for a suitable
place for reception of the radio signal.
4.
The watch is now searching for the radio signal. This process may take a few minutes.
5.
After the search for the radio signal is over and after the minute hand has been in fast mode, the watch
displays the normal time again.
6.
In order to check whether the radio signal search was successful, press button 1 now.
Reception successful:
"OK" appears on the display next to the antenna symbol.
No reception:
"NO" appears on the display next to the antenna symbol.
If the watch does not receive a signal, put the watch in another location. In some circumstances
leave the watch near a window overnight, since reception is better at night than during the
day.
If this does not work, the watch is not within range of the radio signal transmitters. Set the
watch manually in this case. This is described in the section "Setting the time manually".
Setting the time zone
Make sure that the battery is at least half-way charged before setting the time zone.
Otherwise charge the battery beforehand.
1.
Hold button 2 down for approx. 3 seconds in the normal time mode until the name of a city is shown on the
display by means of a 3-digit city code.
2.
Press button 1 again in order to select the desired city code or time zone (see table).
3.
Press button 2 to confirm the selection. Otherwise confirmation takes place automatically after one minute
of inactivity.
4.
The time is now automatically adjusted to the time zone chosen. "WAIT" appears on the display. Do not
