12. Handling

• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Children cannot judge the dangers involved, when dealing with electrical
devices.
• Install the projection clock in such a way that the wires to the power pack unit
are not bent or squashed. Select an appropriate installation location.
• The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a sheltered outdoor area (for
example under a roof projection).
Take note that the outdoor sensor should not be subject to direct sunlight,
direct rain or snowfall because this could falsify the measured values.
• The operation of the plug-in power unit and the radio projection clock is only
permitted in dry indoor areas (not in the bathroom). These parts of the
product may never become wet or damp, because there is risk of a fatal
electric shock!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold into
a warm room. Condensation that forms might destroy your device.
Let the power pack unit and the projection clock reach room temperature first
before using them. This process may take several hours.
• Make sure the insulation of the whole product is neither damaged nor
destroyed.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you detect any damage, do not operate the product, do NOT connect the
plug-in power unit to the mains voltage! This constitutes a mortal danger!
• Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the device is visibly damaged,
- - the device is no longer functional and
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time
- if it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
