10. Set-up & installation
Once you have started to use the components of the system as described in Chapter 8, you
can now put/install the outdoor sensor in a suitable place. Of course, the same applies to the
radio projection clock.

a) Projection radio clock

Place the device on an even surface, sufficiently big.
Valuable or scratch sensitive furniture surfaces should be protected from damage with suitable
covers, before you put the projection clock on them.
Select the installation site in such a way that the projection clock is not located near electronic
devices, cables or metal surfaces. These have a negative influence on the range to the outdoor
sensor and the reception of the DCF signal.

b) Outdoor sensor

You can mount the outdoor sensor via the enclosed wall mount.
When drilling/tightening, be careful not to damage any power supply lines, gas
or water pipes, as there may be life-threatening danger involved!
Before you screw in a screw or hook for wall mounting or drill a hole for a dowel,
make sure that the radio projection clock can receive the temperature data.
Mount the outdoor sensor in a protected spot outdoors.
Do not expose the outdoor sensor directly to rain, do not use the outdoor sensor
in or under water - it might be destroyed!
Observe the right alignment of the outdoor sensor so that no water can
penetrate it. The transparent protective cap must be positioned in such a way
that the opening points downwards.
Mount the outdoor sensor in a protected outdoor area which is in the shade all day long.
Otherwise the temperature reading will be useless because of the solar radiation.
