14. Troubleshooting

This model was built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still occur. The following section
shows you how to correct potential faults.
The model does not respond or does not respond correctly
• In the case of 2.4 GHz remote control systems, the receiver must be connected to the remote control. This process
is known as "pairing". See section 10 for details.
Ensure that there are no other similar vehicles in the vicinity, otherwise the remote control will not be able to deter-
mine the correct vehicle. Switch off the vehicle, then switch off the remote control. If the LED indicator on the remote
control turns off and the LED in the vehicle stays constant, this indicates that the remote control and vehicle are
connected and ready for use. Once this step is complete you can connect the next vehicle/remote control.
• Is the vehicle battery or the remote control batteries empty? Replace the vehicle battery or the remote control bat-
teries. For safety reasons, we recommend using disposable batteries for the remote control rather than recharge-
able batteries.
• Is the vehicle battery fully charged?
• Is the vehicle too far away? The range should be up to 35 m when the vehicle battery and the remote control bat-
teries are full. However, this can be reduced by the ambient conditions, such as interference on the transmission
frequency, proximity to other transmitters (including Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
of 2.4 GHz) and metal objects.
Walls or furniture between the remote control and vehicle (e.g. when the vehicle is driven in FPV mode indoors)
significantly reduce the range.
• For safety reasons, the vehicle engine switches off automatically when there is no remote control signal.
• You can control the vehicle with the remote control or the app (forwards/reverse/left/right). You can use the app to
choose whether you want to control the vehicle with the remote control or the app. The remote control is disabled
when you use the app to control the vehicle.
The vehicle stops suddenly
• Undervoltage protection was activated and the vehicle battery is depleted. Replace the vehicle battery with a new,
fully charged battery (before inserting a new battery, wait at least 5–10 minutes to allow the motor and electronic
components to cool down).
• The receiver in the vehicle does not receive a signal from the remote control and the engine was switched off for
safety reasons. The vehicle is too far from the remote control, the remote control batteries are weak/depleted or the
remote control was switched off.
The vehicle does not travel in a straight line
• Calibrate the steering wheel (see section 8. i). It is normal for the vehicle to deviate slightly from a straight line.
• Check whether the tyres are mounted correctly on the rims / check whether they became loose while the vehicle
was moving.
