Operating Instructions

Intended Use

- Measuring and displaying electric parameters in the range of excess voltage category III (up to max.
600 V against earth/ground potential, pursuant to EN 61010-1) and all lower categories.
- Measurement of earthing resistance to max. 2000 MΩ (in accordance with EN 61557-5)
- Measurement of earth voltages to max. 200 V/AC
- Measuring resistances to 200 kΩ
- Measurement of DC voltages to max. 600 V DC
- Measurement of AC voltages to max. 600V AC rms (effective).
The measurement functions are selected using the dial switch.
The meter must not be operated when it is open, i.e. with an open battery compartment or when the bat-
tery compartment cover is missing. Measurements must not be carried out under unfavourable ambient
conditions.
Adverse ambient conditions include:
- Dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- Electrical storms or stormy conditions resulting in strong electrostatic fields, etc.
For safety reasons, when measuring only use measuring cables or accessories which are adjusted to
the specifications of the multimeter.
The meter may only be operated and used by electricians or technically trained individuals who are
aware of the required standards and the resulting potential dangers.
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks, such as
short-circuit, fire, electric shock. Do not change or modify any part of the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and retain them for later reference.
