• Never pull on the cable of the wall power supply. Always unplug it by pulling out the
housing.
• When installing the device, make sure the connection cables are not squeezed or
damaged by sharp objects.
• Remove the wall power supply from the wall socket if the device is not used over a
period of time.
• Always pull the wall power supply out of the mains socket before cleaning the
device.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the wall power supply from the mains socket in
case of a thunderstorm.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. If necessary, disconnect the appli-
ance from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour liquids on electrical devices. This causes serious danger of fire or elec-
tric shock. If such a case does occur, disconnect the wall power supply from the
mains socket immediately and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repairs may only be carried out by a qualified spe-
cialist or a specialised repair shop.

5. Notes on batteries and rechargeable batteries

General notes on rechargeable batteries
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children or
pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• If your skin comes into contact with leaking or damaged batteries, you may suffer burns. For this rea-
son you should use suitable protective gloves.
• Make sure that batteries are not short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into the fire. There is danger
of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is danger of explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries
intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• Old batteries/rechargeable batteries may leak and cause damage to the product. Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
• For environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read chapter
"Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries".
