Functional description

The high-resolution camera with IR lamp is used for monitoring in
safety engineering, image telecommunication, on playgrounds, in
entrance areas, on car parks, et cetera.
On account of the wide temperature range (-10° to +50° Celsius)
and protection class IP57, the unit may also be used in outdoor sur-
roundings.

Never operate the camera without cover as otherwise
moisture may enter.

Maintenance and disposal

Maintenance
Check the technical safety of the camera and its power supply sour-
ce for damage to the connection cables or the housing, et cetera, at
regular intervals.
If safe operation can no longer be assumed, the camera and/or the
power supply unit have to be put out of service and precautions
have to be taken to avoid unintentional use. Disconnect the power
plug from the mains socket!
Reasons to assume that safe operation is no longer possible include:
• the camera or the connecting cables of power supply units are
visibly damaged
• the camera or the connected power supply units no longer operate
• after storage for long periods under unfavourable conditions
• after considerable stress during transport
In the event of a fault, power supply units may release more than 50
VDC, which may be dangerous, even if the initial voltage of the
power supply unit is lower.
It is imperative that these safety instructions be followed before
the camera or a connected device is cleaned or maintained.
