nected with the smoke detector, as well as the individ-
ual chapters of this manual.
Do not leave packing material unattended. Plastic foils
or bags, polystyrene parts, etc. may become a danger-
ous toy for children.
The device should be kept out reach of children. It is not
a toy.
Observe the safety regulations laid down by the profes-
sional trade association for electrical equipment and
installations in industrial and commercial facilities.
When in doubt about how to connect it correctly or
should there be questions that are not replied to in
these operating instructions contact our Technical
Advisory Service or another expert.
Getting Started
To ensure proper operation, please care-
fully and thoroughly read this manual
with the safety warnings.
When choosing a set-up site for your camera, make
sure to avoid direct and intensive sunlight, vibration,
dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness.

Make sure that there are no electric lines,
water pipes, etc. on the planned place of
drilling.
Tighten the attached screws on the smoke detector
case to the ceiling.
If necessary use dowels.
Use a suitable screwdriver.
Maintenance and Disposal
Maintenance
Regularly check the technical safety of the camera and
the connected current source e.g., for damage on the
connecting cable and the case.
If there is room to believe that safe operation has
become impossible put the camera and/or and the pow-
er supply unit out of operation and secure it against any
unintended operation. Pull the mains plug from the
socket.
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possi-
ble, if
• the camera or the connecting cables of the power
supply units exhibit visible damage
