5. Press the button "F-Func." twice. In the display the symbol " "
appears for the continuity test and the scale "Ω".
6. Place the measuring probes to the circuitry or the component to be
tested.
7. See the result in the LC-display (12). If the resistance is under 50 Ω
you hear a signal sound, which indicates that the component or
circuitry is continuous. If the resistance value is up to 200 Ω the
overflow symbol "O.L" appears in the display.

4.5 Contactless Voltage Test and Cable Locator

With this function you can check contactless AC voltage in wall
sockets, switches, lead connections, cable drums or fuses.
1. Turn the measuring tip (1) into the unit. Turn the moving spindle (2)
clockwise. Turn the tip inwards, so the tip is lightly deeper than the
housing.
2. Remove the black measuring probe with measuring tip respectively
the crocodile clip out of the COM-Input (13).
3. First turn the rotary function switch (5) in the voltage measuring
mode "V ". By doing so, you check if the battery symbol
played. If so, change the battery before measuring (see chapter
"Changing the Battery" on page 34).
4. After that, change the rotary function switch (5) to position "TEST"
and the green LED power indicator of the LED-display (3) turns on.
5. With the sensitivity setting wheel (6) you can adjust the distance
setting of AC voltage. Turn the wheel to the left or to the right (left
side = high sensitivity; right side = low sensitivity).
6. If you place the meter to a wall socket or a voltage-carrying cable,
the red LED of the LED-display (3) starts flashing and you hear a
signal sound.
Hint:
The auto-power-off is deactivated in the "TEST"-function. Switch
the meter after measuring to "OFF" position.
