Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunc-
tions, damage or physical injury:
Before every use, inspect the unit, the probes, and other accesso-
ries for damage. If damage is detected, do not use the unit. Replace
defective components.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted input voltages (see Techni-
cal Data on page 36).
Do not exceed the maximum permitted input values for the sepa-
rate measuring ranges.
Disconnect the probes from the tested component or circuitry
before turning the rotary function switch (5).
Conduct measurements over 60 V DC respectively 25 V AC only in
accordance with the applying safety regulations. Before connecting
the probes make sure the measured circuitry is voltage-free.
This meter is not suitable for measuring current!
Conduct measurements only on isolated ground, in dry clothes and
if necessary in rubber shoes (or while standing on a rubber mat).
Do not touch metal parts.
Do not touch bare wires or voltage-carrying components while
taking measurements. Never connect the probes to a power supply
while the unit is set to continuity test, resistance measuring or diode
testing.
When touching the probes, do not place your fingers forward of the
protective ring (4). This way you can not touch the tip of the probe.
Danger of electric stroke!
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not
allowed to use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for
their safety by a qualified person.
Please Notice! The unit is not suitable for use on industrial high-
voltage equipment. Use only original accessories.
Keep the unit out of the reach of children.
