In doing so, ensure that the positions of the cap drain hole and the
sensor support line up (the drain hole of the housing should be
facing outwards).

6.2 Adjusting the rain sensor

The rainfall measuring system is factory-set to a high degree
of accuracy, so it does not usually need to be adjusted.
Adjustment will only be necessary in situations with extreme-
ly stringent requirements in terms of accuracy and can only
be done in connection with a Homematic Wireless Weather
Data Center.
Before beginning to adjust to the rain measuring sensor, reset any accu-
mulated rainfall value to zero, working in the reception station's normal
display mode (refer to the relevant operating manual; the entire rainfall
display must be set to zero). In addition, the rainfall must be displayed in

"mm" or "l/m " for adjustment purposes.
To perform precise calibration, proceed as follows:
• Slowly pour 100 ml of water into the rain sensor collecting funnel,
spreading the process out over 10 minutes.
Pouring the water in quickly will distort the measurement results!
Pour the water into the funnel slowly enough to ensure that no
water accumulates in the funnel cone at any given point in time.
• The amount displayed should now be 6.5 l/m
• If a different value from this is displayed, what is known as the rock-
er value must be recalculated as follows:
