• The rain sensor can now be detached from above and moved to the side
with the cable, and the counter rocker can be removed.
• Clean the collecting funnel, contacts, counter rocker and drain hole in the
bottom of the housing to remove any residues.
• Place the counter rocker back in its holder. In doing so, the counter rocker
magnet must be at the side facing the cable.
• Place the rain sensor in its holder. It will automatically take hold of the coun-
ter rocker. The rain sensor cable and counter rocker magnet must be at the
same side.
• Now place the collecting funnel onto the sensor support from above and
latch it into place by turning it clockwise.
• Replace the housing from below and turn it clockwise in the sensor sup-
port until it latches into place. In doing so, ensure that the positions of the
housing drain hole and the sensor support line up (the housing drain hole
should be facing outwards).
7.2 Adjusting the rain sensor
The rainfall measuring system is factory-set to a high degree of accuracy, so it
does not usually need to be adjusted.
Adjustment will only be necessary in situations with extremely stringent require-
ments in terms of accuracy.
Before you begin to adjust to the rain measuring sensor, reset any accumulated rain-
fall value to zero, working in the reception station's normal display mode (refer to the
relevant operating manual; the entire rainfall display must be set to zero). In addition,
the rainfall must be displayed in „mm" or „l/m
To perform precise calibration, proceed as follows:
1. Slowly pour 100 ml of water into the rain sensor collecting funnel, spreading the
process out over 10 minutes.
Attention!
Pouring the water in quickly will distort the measurement results! Pour the
water into the funnel slowly enough to ensure that no water accumulates in
the funnel cone at any given point in time.
2. The amount displayed should now be 6.5 l/m
3. If a different value from this is displayed, what is known as the rocker value must
be recalculated as follows:

The new rocker value must now be entered in the reception station's configuration
menu. This must always be entered in ml/rocker stroke.
The factory setting is 295 ml/rocker stroke.
