6.2 Mounting: Inserting the battery

1. Open the device by releasing the two cover screws
and removing the cover.
2. Fix the device at the installation site, either by
means of two screws/bolts through the mounting
bores (B), or by using double-sided adhesive
tape to attach it to the object to be monitored.
Observe the notes on positioning contained in
Subsection 6.1.
3. Insert the lithium battery (CR 2032) supplied
into the battery holder (D), observing the correct
polarity (positive pole to the top, see markings on
the battery holder).
Caution!
If the battery is inserted or replaced incorrectly,
there will be a risk of explosion. The lithium
battery used must be short-circuit proof. Under
no circumstances should you use any metal
objects to insert the battery, as there will be a
risk of short circuit. You must observe the cor-
rect polarity when inserting the battery.

4. Perform the teach-in procedure as per Subsec-
tion 6.3 and, if necessary, adjust the inclination
sensor as per Subsection 6.1.
5. Attach the housing cover to the device in such a
way that the recessed cut-out for the device LED
is at the top and the LED can be seen through it.
Ensure that the neoprene cover seal is clean,
that it is properly seated in the groove all the way
around the cover (the joint must be at the bot-
tom when the device is in use) and that it is not
pinched at any point.
6. Use the two cover screws to screw the cover on.

6.2.1 Replacing the battery

Caution! There will be a risk of explosion if the
battery is not replaced correctly. Observe the
notes in Subsection 6.2.
Used batteries should not be disposed of
with regular domestic waste. Instead, take
them to your local battery disposal point.
If the equipment being controlled does not respond
when the device inclines and there is no remediable
communication fault (equipment being controlled dis-
connected from mains, receiver batteries flat), follow
