4 General information about the Homematic system
This device is part of the Homematic home control system and works
with the bidirectional Homematic wireless protocol. All devices are deliv-
ered in a standard configuration. The functionality of the device can also
be configured with a programming device and software. The additional
functions that can be made available in this way and the supplementary
functions provided by the Homematic system when it is combined with
other components are described in the Homematic WebUI Manual.

Start-up

5.1 Mounting

Before starting to put the device into operation you have to connect the
supplied single components of the weather data sensor. To do this, pro-
ceed as follows:
Step 1:
• Remove the not yet completely assembled weather data sensor
and the wind direction sensor (E) from the packaging.
• Release the cover of the wind direction sensor by turning it clockwise
and put the cap down onto pipe 2 (F).
