S-ORC ist eine flow-abhängige Sicherheitseinrichtung.
Abhängig vom O
-Flow durch die Meßröhre wird der

O-Flow begrenzt, so daß der prozentuale

-Anteil im Frischgas einen festgelegten Mindestwert

(21 Vol.%) nicht unterschreitet.
Das bedeutet: nicht nur bei O
blockiert, sondern auch bei versehentlich geschlossenem
O
-Dosierventil.

Titus mit Air-Versorgung
Bei O
-Ausfall schaltet dieses Gerät automatisch auf

Air-Versorgung um, unabhängig von der Stellung des

Titus with S-ORC
S-ORC is a flow-dependent safety device.
Depending on the O
flow through the measuring tube,

the maximum N
O flow is limited so that the O

centage in the fresh gas cannot fall below a minimum
value (21 vol.%)
This means that N
O supply is blocked not only when
2
there is an O
failure, but also if the O
2
been accidentally closed.

Titus with air supply
If there is an O
failure this machine switches auto-
2
matically to air supply, whatever the position of the
change-over switch below the flow valves. The N
is blocked and air now flows through the N
tube.
Ventilate patient with Air.
If the patient was being ventilated with O
anaesthetic gases before the O
use alternative or supplementary anaesthesia
methods; maintain depth of anaesthesia.
If there is an air failure:
