5. Maintenance

5.7 Hydraulic system

Read and observe the safety regulations !
Before working on the hydraulic make the system
Attention pressureless.
Carry out the change of hydraulic oil while it is still
warm in accordance to the lubrication plan and the
lubrication table.
Do not start the motor while the hydraulic oil is
draining under any circumstance.
Collect the drained-off hydraulic oil and dispose it
in an environment friendly manner.
Immediately replace any damaged seals.
Change the return filter element and the air filter
with each change of hydraulic oil.
Change the hydraulic oil also after each major
repair on the hydraulic unit.

5.7.1 Checking the oil level

The hydraulic oil level can be checked at the oil sight glass (1). If
necessary top up the oil level up to the upper area of the oil sight
glass (1) via the filler neck/returnline filter (2).
5.7.2 Changing the return line filter element
•
Unscrew the cover (3).
•
Withdraw the filter element (4) and fit a new one.
•
Inspect the seal ring (5) in the cover and, if necessary, fit a
new one.
•
Screw on the cover (3).

element and breather filter change
Change hydraulic oil when it is warm.

In order to change the oil, unscrew the cover (3) and
•
remove the filter element (4).
•
Unscrew the oil drain plug (6).
Care is to be taken with the draining of hot oil :
danger of scalding!
Danger
•
Inspect the seal ring on the oil drain plug (6). If necessary, fit a
new one and
•
screw in the oil drain plug.
•
Remove the breather filter (7) and fit a new one.
•
Fit a new filter element (4).
•
Top up with fresh oil via the filler neck/return line filter as far as
the upper area on the sight glass (1).
•
Check the seal ring (5) in the cover (3) an dfit a new one if
necessary.
•
Screw the cover onto the filter.
•
Check the oil level at the sight glass (1) after a brief trial run.
