7. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The multimeter (referred to as DMM in the following) indicates measured values on the digital display. The
measured value display of the DMM comprises 6000 counts (count = smallest display value). Voltage and current
measurement is performed as effective value (TrueRMS).
The display also shows the measuring jacks to be assigned for any measurement range in the display. If the DMM is
not operated for approx. 15 minutes, it switches off automatically. This saves battery power and extends the period
of operation. Automatic deactivation can be deactivate manually.
The meter can be used for do-it-yourself or for professional applications up to CAT III.
There are transport protection caps in the angled plugs of the enclosed measuring lines. Remove them before push-
ing the plugs into the meter sockets.
For better readability, the DMM can also be optimally mounted with the standing bracket on the rear.
The mA/µA current rand has an all-new feature. In these two measuring functions, tripped fuses no longer need to
be replaced. The installed PTC fuse resets automatically after tripping.
The battery and fuse compartment can only be opened after all measuring lines were removed from the meter.

The individual measuring functions are selected via a rotary control. The
automatic range selection "Auto" is active. The appropriate measurement range is
set individually for each application.
The rotary control has a function button (9). Use the button "SELECT" to switch to
a sub-functions if the measuring function is doubly assigned (e.g. switching from
resistance measuring to diode test and continuity test or AC/DC switching). The
subfunctions are marked grey. Each push switches the function.
If the meter switch is set to "OFF", the meter is switched off. Always turn the
measuring device off when it is not in use.
