2. Start-up

2.1 Connecting the suction hose

• Insert the suction hose into the connection
opening. The suction hose locks into position
and can be rotated through 360°.
Important: The suction hose can be inserted
in one position only; please note
the groove.
2.2 Connecting the accessories to
the suction hose
• Attach the suction pipe, floor nozzle and other
nozzles to the suction hose handle, as re-
quired.
• The crevice nozzle and furniture brush are si-
tuated in the vacuum cleaner accessories
compartment. To remove the accessories,
grip the recessed handle on the cover and
pull up.
Suction pipe with carpet brush head for the
TSC 555:
• Ensure that the pipes and carpet brush head
lock into position when connected. They can
be removed by pressing the button.
Floor nozzle for the TSC 550:
• Connect the pipes and floor nozzle.

2.3 Using the accessories

Furniture brush with swivel joint
• For cleaning sensitive materials and objects
Crevice nozzle
• For cleaning crevices, corners and gaps.
Upholstery nozzle
• For cleaning all upholstered furniture,
mattresses, etc.
Floor nozzle (only TSC 550)
• Changeover lever with symbol
Cleaning hard surfaces.
• Changeover lever with symbol
Cleaning carpeted floors.
Carpet brush head (only TSC 555)
• The rotating brush ensures that cleaning is
carried out more thoroughly.
2.4 Connecting the unit to the
mains and switching on
• The mains cable is situated in the
cable winder. Pull out the cable and
insert the mains plug into the socket.
• When the ON/OFF switch is pressed, the unit
is in standby mode (further instructions for
switching on the unit can be found under
point 3 "Operation").
