5 Options

The wheelchair is designed as a modular component system. This means that certain acces-
sories can be adapted to your wheelchair. We recommend using a seat cushion at all times.
The seat upholstery of the wheelchair of the Start series has a loop texture so that seat cush-
ions can be attached with hook and loop connection. All seat cushions listed on the order form
have the required hook texture.
Furthermore, we will present you a selection of our variants and accessories which improve the
use and comfort of your wheelchair.
5.1 Anti-tipper (Fig� 17)
WARNING
Risk of falling as a result of incorrectly set anti-tipper� The space between the floor and lower edge
of the anti-tipper wheels must not exceed 5 cm.
The anti-tipper prevents the wheelchair from tipping too far backward.
In dependence of the seat height and seat angle, it can be adjusted in length without the need
of tools (Fig. 17). Mounting of the anti-tipper is strongly recommended for untrained wheelchair
users as well as when extreme adjustments have been made to the rear wheel.
5.2 Swinging Anti-tipper (Fig� 18)

Risk of falling as a result of incorrectly set anti-tipper� The space between the floor and
anti-tipper ends must not exceed 5 cm.
The swinging anti-tipper allows the wheelchair user to overcome normal curbs etc. without the
help of an attendant. It prevents the wheelchair from tipping and after overcoming the obstacle
swings back to the rear.
To overcome stairs or similar, the swinging anti-tipper must be moved up by the attendant prior
to tipping the wheelchair. The anti-tipper is then deactivated.

Please note that it may be necessary to move the swinging anti-tipper down after clearing the
obstacle to reactivate it!
To adjust the length of the swinging anti-tipper loosen the marked screw connections (Fig. 18,
item A/B). To change the height setting of the anti-tipper, loosen the screw connection (Fig. 18,
item B) and use another bore hole.
When adjusting the anti-tipper, always make sure that the outer arm of the anti-tipper extends
beyond the largest diameter of the tyre (Fig. 18, item C).
