3 Delivery and Preparation for Use
CAUTION
Risk of pinching Only grip the components shown when folding or collapsing the wheelchair.
Your wheelchair is usually delivered fully assembled, folded, and with the rear wheels removed
A few simple steps are sufficient to prepare it for use:
1. Attach the wheels. To attach the rear wheels reach into the spokes with four fingers and press
the button of the quick-release axle with your thumb (Fig. 1). Then attach the rear wheels to
the fittings and the axles will automatically engage.
2. While standing next to the wheelchair, tip it slightly toward you. With flat hands, press the
crossbrace apart. Make sure that the crossbrace has locked in the support brackets (Fig.
2).
3. Pull the back upholstery flap up and attach it to the wheelchair's seat upholstery (hook and
loop connection) (Fig. 3). Insert the seat cushion.
4. If applicable, insert the footrests into the receivers (Fig. 4). Finally, fold down the footplates.
