10.  Be very careful when mowing near bushes
or kerbs as these could distort the horizontal po-

–    p osition the machine on a flat surface, move
the cutting-means assembly to the fully raised
position and place some shims (2) measuring
about 65-70 mm under the edge to support
it while you proceed with the required opera-
tions;
.    m ove the transmission release lever to the
«ENGAGED» position (see 4.23), as the park-
ing brake must be disengaged to allow the
speed change lever to be moved;
–      r emove the grass catcher;
–    u nscrew the lever knob (3) and shift the lever

and tip the cover backwards.
To close it again:
–    c heck that the collector channel (8) is se-

resting correctly on the support (11).
Next:
–    f ully tighten the fastener nut (5);
–    m ove the lever (6) to position «7» engaging it
in the relative stop notch;

(3) and the hatch (4).

6.3 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

The table will help you maintain your machine's
safety and performance. It summarises the main
interventions to be made and the frequency ap-
plicable to each of them.
The boxes at the side are for you to mark the
date or number of working hours at which the
intervention was made.
