With the Renkforce car radio, you have purchased a product built to the state of the art and operationally safe.
Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe how to eliminate possible errors here:
Always observe the safety information!
No playback, no display, and the lights are out:
• Car fuse defective. Look up the respective fuse in the operation manual of your car. Check the fuse.
• The fuse of the device is defective. Remove the device and check the fuse.
• The positive line/ground line is loose. Remove the device and check the connections of the cables.
Playback only through one speaker:
• The balance control is wrongly adjusted. Adjust the balance control as described.
• The speaker connection has come loose. Remove the device and/or speakers and check the connections.
Playback only through the front or rear speakers:
• The fader control is not adjusted correctly. Adjust the fader control.
• The speaker connection has come loose. Remove the device and/or speakers and check the connections.
In radio operation hardly any stations can be received:
• The aerial is not pulled out completely. Pull out the aerial to its full length.
• The aerial connection has come loose. Remove the device and check the connection.
• The aerial is defective. Check the connection, earthing and the aerial itself.
Interferences in radio, CD and USB or SD card operation:
• Interferences reach the device via the positive line. Install an additional interference suppression coil into the posi-
tive line.
• If necessary, also equip the vehicle with spark-plug suppressor sockets, distributor arms, etc. to suppress interfer-
ences.
• Bad ground connection. Check ground connection, use other grounding point if required.
When you press a station button, you only hear hissing:
• No station has been programmed. Program the stations as described above.
• The continuous positive line is not connected, or has come loose. Connect or check the continuous positive line as
explained in the instructions or check whether the cable is correctly connected. Check the fuse.
