• LOUD ON/OFF
LOUD ON: The loudness function is active.
LOUD OFF: The loudness function is inactive. The sound is not influenced.
At low volumes the human ear does not perceive very low and very high sounds well. An increase of the
frequency range for low volume (loudness correction) counteracts this effect and the music replay sounds
more natural.
• EQ - EQUALIZER
EQ OFF Equalizer off
POP Pre-setting for pop music
ROCK Pre-setting for rock music
CLASSIC Pre-settings for classical music
FLAT Equalizer on, linear frequency response
• BEEP ON/OFF
ON: A confirmation sound sounds when a button is pushed.
OFF: No confirmation sound sounds when a button is pushed.
• STEREO/MONO
STEREO: Radio reception is in stereo.
MONO: Radio reception is in mono.
At bad reception, it may be of benefit to switch radio reception to mono. Radio operation will be less subject
to interference in mono mode.
• LOC/DX
LOC: Only stations with a very good field strength will be received.
DX: All stations will be received.
In areas with many transmission stations and good radio reception, it may be sensible to set the option
LOC. This will skip weak stations that could only be received with interferences in the automatic station
scan.
