Fault-Finding
Monitor remains blank in some
channels or flickers in an
undefined manner.
Unit does not respond when
virtual channel numbers are
entered.
If the fault persists after the
above actions:
Cause: Line frequency of the graphic card exceeds the capacity of the
monitor (monitor is not synchronized correctly).
Remedy:
• Use a more powerful monitor.
The maximum line frequency of all connected computers must not
exceed the specification for the monitor.
Cause: Monitor is not synchronized correctly. The selected computers are
connected via an optical fibre link.
Remedy:
• Console monitors accessing a computer connected via an optical fibre
link must be able to process composite sync signals in green.
Cause: Option for "virtual channel assignment" is not installed or the
configuration is incorrect.
Remedy:
• Check Info menu to see whether the option for "virtual channel
assignment" is present.
• Check whether a channel table has been created.
• Check hotkey mode (2-5).
• Check setting of cascade level in the lower-ranking units.
